Predictability matters. When expectations are clear and consistently applied, schools are safer and learning is stronger,\u201d said IPS board president Hope Duke Star.<\/p>\n<p>Board members say the newly passed policy is meant to bring clarity and reinforces equal access to public education for all students in the district, regardless of race, religion, disability or immigration status.<\/p>\n<p>The policy also protects student record confidentiality, releasing information only when required by law.
