The software will run automated recusal checks that compare information about parties and attorneys in a case with lists created by each Justice\u2019s chamber. The Court\u2019s Office of Information Technology worked with the Legal Office and the Clerk\u2019s Office to design the technology. New court rules to support use of the software will take effect March 16. <\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-top:20px;\">The Pentagon&#8217;s intelligence agency finally has a permanent leader. Marine Corps Lt. General James Adams took over as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency last week. Adams previously served as the Marine Corps\u2019 deputy commandant for programs and resources and director of capability development. While Adams does not come from a traditional intelligence background, his appointment has drawn support from many across the defense community. The department\u2019s intelligence agency had been without a permanent leader since August, when the Trump administration abruptly removed Air Force Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Kruse from the role. <\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-top:20px;\">The Labor Department is making it easier for the public to access its data on the American workforce. The department\u2019s new portal allows users to access labor statistics and data on unemployment insurance claims, veteran employment and more. The department soft-launched the new portal from Oct. 20-24.
