The board will support the CGT Catapult in\u00a0identifying\u00a0and removing barriers to the widespread adoption of advanced therapies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The remit of the board will encompass areas\u00a0including:\u00a0data and digital; manufacturing and supply technology; product\u00a0characterization\u00a0and testing; and novel patient treatment pathways. They will\u00a0identify\u00a0opportunities and challenges arising from\u00a0new technologies, as well as potential roadblocks to their widespread use.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The board is made up of advanced therapy experts from across academia,\u00a0industry\u00a0and regulation. Its members are:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Chair &#8211; Dr Phil Vanek, Founder,\u00a0Redline\u00a0Bioadvisors\u00a0and Chief\u00a0Commercialisation\u00a0Officer, International Society for Cell &#038; Gene Therapy (ISCT)\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Mr\u00a0Ian Rees, Unit Manager Inspectorate Strategy and Innovation,\u00a0Medicines\u00a0and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Professor Susan Rosser,\u00a0Director of the UK Centre for Mammalian Synthetic Biology and Co-director of the Edinburgh Genome Foundry, University of Edinburgh.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, it includes the CGT Catapult\u2019s:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Phil Vanek, Chair of the Technology Advisory Board, said<strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cCGT Catapult has played a critical role in shaping the advanced therapy landscape for more than a decade, and\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0grateful for the opportunity to join the advisory board at this inflection point.
