In an interview with the Financial Times, Suleyman said that the company is working to build what he described as \u201cprofessional-grade AGI\u201d \u2014 systems capable of performing most tasks carried out by human professionals.<\/p>\n

Enterprise focus and automation drive<\/h3>\n

Suleyman linked the prediction to Microsoft\u2019s enterprise strategy. He said the company aims to expand its share of the corporate market by developing AI systems that can automate routine and repeatable tasks currently handled by skilled staff.<\/p>\n

Technology companies are increasing investment in AI tools for businesses. Salesforce has reportedly cut up to 1,000 roles as it shifts resources towards artificial intelligence. Other large technology and logistics firms have also announced workforce reductions in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

Microsoft has focused on embedding AI into workplace software, including tools for drafting documents, analysing data, coordinating projects and managing customer interactions.<\/p>\n
