Officials said they immediately took steps to secure the network and retained a cybersecurity firm to conduct a forensic investigation and mitigation effort. Law enforcement was notified, and the trust said it will cooperate with any investigation.<\/p>\n<p>While the investigation remains ongoing, officials said they are confident the computer systems have been secured.<\/p>\n<p><h2>Personal Information Involved<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>According to the Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust, some of the affected files contained personally identifiable information.<\/p>\n<p>That information included names in combination with one or more of the following:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"rte2-style-ul\" data-start=\"935\" data-end=\"1107\" id=\"rte-7068db70-0b2d-11f1-b68a-b584d02b7694\">\n<li>Addresses<\/li>\n<li>Phone numbers<\/li>\n<li>Social Security numbers<\/li>\n<li>Driver\u2019s license or other government-issued identification numbers<\/li>\n<li>Routing and financial account numbers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Officials said not every data element was involved for every affected individual.<\/p>\n<p><h2>Steps Taken To Strengthen Security<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>The trust said it took immediate steps to contain the incident and is implementing additional safeguards.<\/p>\n<p>Those measures include risk assessments, enhanced technical and physical layered defenses, employee training and updates to its Transportation Security Administration-approved incident response plan.
