This also helped the company increase its market share to roughly a fifth, tying Huawei for the lead.<\/p>\n<p>Apple\u2019s stock rose marginally in premarket trading on Thursday, heading for its second straight day of gains. The stock has risen 1.4% so far this year and is on track for its fourth consecutive session of annual gains.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"st-heading-2\"><strong>How Did Other Phones Do In China?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Counterpoint Research said Xiaomi and Vivo, among others, saw major declines in a market that was down 23% overall, largely due to reduced subsidies and a shift in the timing of the Lunar New Year, the report noted.<\/p>\n<p>According to the data, Xiaomi\u2019s China sales fell 36%, Vivo declined 29%, and Huawei fell 27%.
