Djibouti\u2019s Head of State, His Excellency Ismail Omar Guelleh, unveiled a new evolution in the country\u2019s digital development strategy during a speech at the closing ceremony of the National Digital Identity Forum and the official launch of the Mobile ID platform. The forum, held at the People\u2019s Palace, provided a platform for exchanges and discussions on the importance and implementation of digital identity in modern society.<\/p>\n

The discussions during the forum focused on the widespread adoption of new digital technologies and how to leverage them effectively across public and private sectors. President Guelleh highlighted the \u201cunavoidable involvement\u201d of digital technologies in contemporary society, emphasizing that adaptation to these changes is essential.<\/p>\n

\u201cDigital identity is by nature transversal. It crosses the administrations, it irrigates the economy, it transforms public services and finally, it redraws the relations between the State, companies and citizens,\u201d stated President Guelleh. He described digital identity not merely as a technological tool, but as a \u201cstrategic necessity\u201d and a \u201creal paradigm of modern development.\u201d<\/p>\n
