On Monday, February 9, the House Transportation, Infrastructure and Public Safety Committee is scheduled to hear SB 1128, the \u201cSecond Amendment Financial Privacy Act\u201d which will protect sportsmen\u2019s credit card privacy rights.<\/p>\n

Use the Take Action button to email the committee and urge them to vote \u201cYes\u201d to SB 1128. Twenty states have already enacted this important privacy law to protect their sportsmen. It is time for Missouri to do the same.<\/p>\n

Why the Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act is Necessary<\/h2>\n

The latest tactic is to track the credit card purchases of firearms and ammunition.<\/p>\n

How SB 1128 Protects Missouri Sportsmen<\/h2>\n

SB 1128 prohibits a financial institution or an agent of a financial institution from using a firearms code in a way that distinguishes a firearms dealer physically located in this state from a general merchandise retailer or a sporting goods retailer located in the state.<\/p>\n
