It&#8217;s reportedly happening.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/article\/apple-macbook-pro-upgrade-report\">https:\/\/mashable.com\/article\/apple-macbook-pro-upgrade-report<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Publish Date: <a href=\"publish_date]\">2026-01-28 03:00:00<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Source Domain: <a href=\"mashable.com\">mashable.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Apple is planning not one, but two MacBook Pro upgrades this year, and the second one will be a big one. <\/p>\n<p>This is according to Bloomberg&#8217;s Mark Gurman, who claims that Apple&#8217;s new generation MacBooks and Mac desktop computers are &#8220;ready to go.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll reportedly see new MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac Studio computers in the &#8220;first half of the year,&#8221; wrote Gurman, adding that Apple also working on a new display. <\/p>\n<p>        <span class=\"font-bold text-primary-400\">SEE ALSO:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>            <span class=\"ml-1\">Apple is reportedly working on an AI pin wearable that is AirTag-sized<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve previously written about these, including the possibility of Apple launching a 16-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 Pro\/Max chip as soon as Jan. 28. <\/p>\n<p>\n            <span class=\"text-gradient-fuchsia-secondary\">Mashable Light Speed<\/span>\n        <\/p>\n<p>Gurman, however, says that Apple might upgrade its MacBook Pro devices a second time this year, &#8220;toward the end of 2026.&#8221; Then, we could get a more significant revamp of the MacBook Pro, which could get the new M6 Pro\/Max chip, an OLED display, touch support, and a hole-punch style of camera (instead of the current notch) with something akin to the iPhone&#8217;s Dynamic Island around it. <\/p>\n<p>OLED is a big deal as it brings better contrast, improved color accuracy, and deeper blacks, compared to the LED displays that the MacBook Pro currently has. <\/p>\n<p>        <strong class=\"py-4 mx-4 w-full min-w-max text-2xl\">Featured Video For You<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Samsung first look: Go up close with Galaxy Z TriFold, the futuristic foldable only available in Korea<\/p>\n<p>But the really big news is touch support, which would be a first for Apple. The company has kept its touch devices (iPad) and laptops (MacBook) separate so far, with Steve Jobs once famously claiming that touch screens don&#8217;t belong on laptops. <\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve heard bits and pieces of these reports before, but the timeline is interesting.
