Apple has revised the prices of its MacBooks and iPads in India, making several models much more expensive than before. India Today Tech noticed that the 13-inch MacBook Air M5 with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is still listed on Flipkart’s mobile app for Rs 1,10,300. When Apple launched this model, it carried a price tag of Rs 1,19,900, meaning buyers are already getting a flat discount of Rs 9,600.
However, the deal looks much bigger after Apple’s latest price revision. The same MacBook Air M5 now costs Rs 1,49,900 on Apple’s official website. Compared to this new price, Flipkart’s listing effectively offers a discount of Rs 39,300. The savings do not end there. Buyers using an HDFC Bank credit card can also avail of an instant discount of Rs 4,500, bringing down the effective purchase price even further.
Those planning to buy the laptop may want to act quickly. Apple has already announced the revised prices, and retailers are gradually updating their listings. Vijay Sales has already revised the pricing on its website, while India Today Tech noticed that the MacBook Air M5 listing was unavailable on Amazon and Reliance Digital, indicating that these platforms could be preparing to relist the laptop with the updated prices.
Because of this, there is no guarantee that Flipkart’s current pricing will remain available for long. The price could change at any time as retailers begin aligning with Apple’s revised rates.
