The iPhone 18 Pro series is likely to launch soon as Apple has a track record of announcing new iPhones in September every year. Now, since we are just two months away from the widely rumoured iPhone event, you are more likely to start seeing leaks on iPhone 18 Pro launch dates as well as prices. While previous reports had suggested that Apple will keep the prices same as the old models, Tim Cook’s recent statement changes everything after he said price increases are unavoidable going forward. The obvious reason for this is memory and storage chip getting costlier because of AI but for core iPhone buyers what matters is how much the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and Max models will cost in countries India as well as US. So far, there is no leak on the exact prices of the next-gen iPhones, but India Today Tech spoke to two credible analyst to give our audience a rough idea of what to expect in terms of iPhone 18 pricing.
Apple has kept the same launch prices for years without increasing the prices for the standard iPhone models and the Pro model prices keep fluctuating with every release. Now, with rising component cost issue, Apple is likely preparing to launch the 18 Pro at higher prices. IDC India’s Vice President, Navkendar Singh, told India Today Tech that Apple will increase prices across multiple iPhone generations over the coming months. More importantly for buyers waiting for the next flagship, he expects a noticeable increase for the new 18 Pro models.
“There will possibly be a $100-$150 (approximately Rs 9,500 to Rs 14,200) increase in iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max pricing versus iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max launch prices. The memory situation will impact the launch prices of the 18 Pro and Pro Max.”
If that prediction proves accurate, the iPhone 18 Pro could start above the iPhone 17 Pro’s launch price of Rs 1,34,900, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max could move well beyond the Rs 1,49,900 mark.
