Apple Watch Ultra 4 is Expected to Release in September Alonside Series 12

Apple is due to reveal its new Apple Watch Ultra 4 later in September alongside the Apple Watch Series 12, Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman claims.
In the latest edition of the Power On newsletter, Gurman discusses what the second half of 2026 may hold in store for Apple and its devices. “That flurry of devices should also include an Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4,” Gurman claims. This is in conjunction with the expected release of the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and Apple’s first foldable iPhone.
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 was released in 2025. However, unlike the standard Apple Watch, the Ultra model hasn’t been released each year. The original Apple Watch Ultra launched in 2022, with the Ultra following in 2023. Apple then skipped 2024, releasing only a black colour option for the Ultra 2 rather than a brand-new model. Thus, the company established a cadence suggesting that the Apple Watch Ultra may not be an annual release.
Previous reports suggest that Apple Watch Ultra 4 may introduce a “full design” refresh. DigitTimes reported that the design may be refreshed, but didn’t detail the extent of the redesign. That said, the report claims that Apple Watch Ultra 4 may get a “significant upgrade to sensing functions.” Apple is reportedly developing new watch features for the Apple Watch Ultra 4, including refined blood pressure monitoring. The device will reportedly introduce a high-blood-pressure notification feature using its optical heart-rate sensor.
This September, Apple is expected to release the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 to coincide with the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max and foldable iPhone. All devices are expected to be shown throughout the company’s fall keynote. Thus, the company may launch all devices in the weeks following the keynote. So, Apple Watch Ultra 4 could be within our hands by the time October rolls around.
