Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould has announced the appointment of Scott Adametz as Chief Technology Officer. The Pac-12 describes the hire as the first CTO appointment by an FBS conference. Adametz began his tenure with the Pac-12 in May as the league prepares for its 2026-27 season launch, which will add Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, San Diego State, Texas State, and Utah State alongside Oregon State and Washington State.

In his role, Adametz will oversee technology strategy, data, and AI initiatives across the conference. He previously served as Engineering Director of Ecosystem Security at Epic Games, supporting security, backend, and core engineering across Fortnite, Unreal Engine, the Epic Games Store, and Epic Online Services. Prior to Epic Games, he held leadership roles at Riot Games, the NFL, Swiftstack, Pac-12 Networks, Groupon, and was part of the team that built the Big Ten Network ahead of its launch. He was also a member of the team behind Pac-12 Networks’ at-home production model.
