Micro Imaging Technology (MIT), a California-based public company trading under the symbol MMTC, announced the acquisition of Cellmyx, a company focused on regenerative medicine, cosmetic surgery, and adipose tissue transfer technologies. The transaction marks MIT’s latest move to build a broader platform in the aesthetics, cosmetic surgery, and regenerative medicine markets.

Cellmyx, formerly known as Millennium Medical Technologies, has operated in the cosmetic surgery industry for more than 25 years. Founded by Greg Miles, the company has developed a reputation for manufacturing medical tools used across cosmetic, orthopedic, pain management, and regenerative medicine applications. Its portfolio includes the IntelliFat® BOD™ system, which received U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance in 2023 for use in orthopedic, plastic, and cosmetic surgery procedures.

The acquisition follows MIT’s purchase of SaltMed/SaltFacial, which closed in December 2025. By combining Cellmyx and SaltMed/SaltFacial under one corporate umbrella, MIT aims to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities, expand its product offerings, and increase its reach in domestic and international markets.

Cellmyx specializes in autologous adipose grafting and transfer technologies that utilize a patient’s own fat tissue in various medical procedures. The company’s IntelliFat® BOD™ platform is designed to process and deploy adipose tissue for applications involving joint and ligament repair, recovery, and healing. Cellmyx also holds ISO 13485 and MDSAP certifications, supporting its position in the regulated medical device sector.

MIT said the acquisition enhances its presence in regenerative medicine while complementing the aesthetic treatment technologies offered through SaltMed/SaltFacial. The company plans to continue supporting existing customers while pursuing additional opportunities in the aesthetics and regenerative medicine sectors.
