Intel this week rolled out new versions of their open-source XPU Manager and Linux NPU driver software.

Intel’s XPU Manager is their open-source tool for managing and monitoring Intel data center GPUs. The Intel XPU Manager supports the monitoring and management functionality from the command-line or via RESTful APIs for managing fleets of systems or clusters in the data center. The Intel XPU Manager works on both Windows and Linux systems.

While originally developed for the Intel Data Center Flex Series and Max Series GPUs, the newer releases have just been focused on their Arc Pro Battlemage graphics cards. With this week’s XPU Manager 1.3.7 release, the recently released Arc Pro B65 and Arc Pro B70 products are now supported. This complements the Arc Pro B50 and Arc Pro B60 as the other officially supported products by this XPU Manager.

In addition to the Arc Pro B65 and B70 support, XPU Manager 1.3.7 also adds support for reporting OEM serial numbers when available. There are also fixes to the XPU Manager SMI interface around the discovery and configuration commands. Plus unspecified security enhancements and other bug fixes.

Separately, Intel this week also released their Linux NPU Driver 1.33 build. This is their user-space NPU driver component for Intel Core Ultra Linux systems. No release highlights / change-log were provided with the NPU Driver 1.33 release unlike prior releases, but going through the delta it’s mostly maintenance work and other small changes making up that new version.
