With WWDC on the horizon, Apple on Monday released its macOS Tahoe 26.5.1 and iOS 26.5.1 updates. The macOS Tahoe 26.5.1 update addresses a shutdown bug on Macs with M5 processors that primarily affects enterprise users while the iOS 26.5.1 update works to resolve a charging bug that affects iPhone 17 and iPhone Sir users.
The macOS Tahoe 26.5.1 release notes read as follows: “This update addresses an issue for enterprise users where Mac computers with an M5 chip could unexpectedly shut down when using certain content-filtering network extensions.”
The iOS 26.5.1 release notes: “This update addresses an issue for a small number of users that may prevent wired charging on iPhone Air and iPhone 17 models when the battery is nearly drained.”
