The iPhone 18 Pro Max should adhere to Apple’s typical September launch schedule. According to MacRumors, Apple might be dividing the iPhone 18 family, where the Pro series and a foldable iPhone are scheduled for a September 2026 release, whereas less expensive versions of the iPhone 18 could come in spring of 2027.
Google may move earlier. Current Pixel 11 Pro XL rumours point to an August or early September 2026 launch window, which would let Google show its flagship before Apple’s next Pro iPhone cycle.
That matters. If Google launches first, it gets the first shot at defining the 2026 AI-phone conversation.
