Fresh off the funding round from HP, Fwupd 2.1.4 was christened today as the newest stable update to this open-source firmware updating solution for Linux systems.
Fwupd 2.1.4 brings support for firmware updates on a number of new hardware devices, including the Arc Pro B65 and Arc Pro B70 graphics cards. Plus Lenovo docks in the provisioned mode now work as do other hardware devices:
– Egis MoC devices with PID 9201
– Intel Arc Pro B65 and Arc Pro B70 (#10389)
– Lenovo dock devices in ‘provisioned’ mode
– Pixart TP devices with PID 1343
– Several GigaDevice and Puya SPI chips
There are also many bug fixes in Fwupd 2.1.4 along with support for NixOS in the quick start script, support for the Compal BIOS version format, and other enhancements.
