ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A Slatington man has been found guilty of all charges related to an invasion of privacy investigation.
43-year-old Jarrett Klinger was convicted by a jury May 20th of invasion of privacy, unlawful dissemination of an intimate image and harassment.
Klinger will be required to register for 15 years under Pennsylvania’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act, according to a news release from the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office. His bail was revoked and he remains in Lehigh County Jail.
Klinger was charged in two separate criminal cases involving the same victim, who is known to him.
On July 25, 2022, the victim told Upper Saucon Township Police that Klinger was harassing her.
The investigation revealed Klinger sent the victim a video of them engaging in sexual contact and threatened to release that and other videos if she didn’t meet with him or talk to him, the DA’s office said.
That threat prompted the victim to file a report with police.
During the course of that investigation, police obtained a search warrant for Klinger’s cell phone and discovered it contained two videos showing Klinger and the woman engaging in sexual contact.
The victim told police the videos were made without her knowledge or consent.
Klinger’s sentencing and a hearing to determine if he meets the requirements for a sexually violent predator is scheduled for Aug. 26.
He faces a maximum sentence of 7 to 14 years in state prison.
