PORTLAND, Tenn. (WZTV) — A major solar technology company is opening a massive new facility in Portland, Tennessee.

Shoals Technologies Group unveiled its new 638,000-square-foot manufacturing campus Monday on Shoals Way. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the company’s 30th anniversary.

The new facility brings together three existing Tennessee locations into one centralized manufacturing campus. It will expand U.S. manufacturing capacity to support growing demand across solar, battery energy storage systems and mission-critical infrastructure, including data centers.

The company says the expansive facility will bring additional jobs to the Portland community. Shoals Technologies Group has been designing electrical infrastructure solutions for utility scale solar, battery storage and data center power systems since 1996.
