SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Sioux Falls School District alerted parents on Wednesday evening about a cybersecurity incident.
In a message sent to parents, the school district said its learning platform, “Canvas,” experienced an incident that included names, emails, addresses, student IDs, and messages among users.
Officials said that no sensitive information, such as passwords, dates of birth, or financial information, was affected during the incident and that the internal systems were not impacted. At this time, no action is required.
Families are warned to use caution if receiving emails that appear to be from Canvas.
