Hyundai And Georgia Tech Expand Hydrogen Mobility Partnership
Hyundai Motor Group and Georgia Institute of Technology have signed an MOU to advance hydrogen mobility and zero-emissions research. The initiative includes deployment of Hyundai NEXO fuel cell SUVs and installation of a hydrogen electrolyzer on campus, creating a real-world hydrogen testing environment.
The collaboration supports Hyundai’s carbon neutrality goals by 2045 and expands research into autonomous driving SoCs, EV battery materials, and cybersecurity. The initiative complements Hyundai’s broader hydrogen ecosystem in Georgia, including fuel cell truck operations and clean energy infrastructure development.
Hyundai Motor Group Unveils Pleos Connect For SDV Fleet Transition
Hyundai Motor Group has introduced Pleos Connect, a next-generation infotainment architecture representing the foundational deliverable in the manufacturer’s software-defined vehicle (SDV) roadmap. The architecture features a multi-modal cockpit interface comprising a Large Central Screen for 3D environment visualization and a dedicated Slim Display for telemetry. Designed for high scalability, the Group targets a deployment base of 20 million Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles by 2030, supported by continuous over-the-air (OTA) updates to maintain feature parity and system performance.
The system incorporates Gleo AI, an integrated large language model (LLM) assistant that enables natural language control over navigation and third-party service APIs. To optimize driver safety and interface ergonomics, Pleos Connect utilizes a hybrid control scheme pairing physical steering wheel actuators with multi-finger gesture recognition on the central HMI.
