The new MacBook Pro M5 laptop sets a new standard for performance, combining high power with great battery life, albeit with high prices and some configuration limitations.
Apple continues the success of the Mac line with this model, which comes in two sizes (14 and 16 inches) and with three processor variants: M5, M5 Pro and M5 Max. The base model starts at around 1,899 euros, while the more advanced versions can reach up to 4,199 euros, positioning it as a device for professional users.
The design remains largely unchanged since 2021, but the build quality is very high. The aluminum body is strong and practical for transport, while the keyboard and trackpad are among the best on the market. The mini LED display with a 120Hz refresh rate offers excellent brightness and clarity, even usable in bright sunlight.
In terms of performance, the M5 processor is about 20% faster than its predecessor M4, while the Pro and Max versions bring significant increases in graphics power and multi-core processing, bringing the laptop closer to the level of workstations.
One of the strongest points is the battery: up to 16 hours of light use and a full day of work even in more demanding tasks such as editing photos and videos. Even at maximum use, the device can last about 90 minutes without charging.
