(ABC 6 News) – The RCTC Animal Health Technology Students Club is planning a donation night fundraiser to support future student activities.

The club, known as RAHTS or “Rats,” is holding the fundraiser at the Rochester Texas Roadhouse on Monday, March 30 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Ten percent of all food sales during that time will be donated to the RAHTS.

The event is meant to help fund future club activities and support veterinary technology students. The club says its goals include promoting the professional and educational advancement of veterinary technicians. It also aims to support humane medical care for animals and strengthen ties with the veterinary medical profession and the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America.

RAHTS hosts regular meetings at the RCTC Heintz Center. The club has also supported Rochester Animal Control, Paws and Claws Humane Society and Oxbow Park in past activities. The fundraiser is part of the club’s broader work to support students preparing for careers in animal health.
