Apple’s new iPhone 17 typically costs $829 for the 256GB configuration, or up to $1,029 for the 512GB configuration. Right now, however, T-Mobile is offering $829 off when you add a new line and trade in your old device on almost all plans. This will net you the base iPhone 17 or the $599 iPhone 17E for free. If you’ve been looking to trade in your old device and add a new line, now is a great time to nab this deal.
T-Mobile doesn’t mention a deadline for this offer, but it’s best to act fast if you’ve been wanting the latest iPhone.
Free with trade-in and new line
To get a free iPhone 17 or 17E, you’ll need to add a new line on a qualifying plan and an eligible device to trade in. You’ll get bill credits over 24 months, equal to the monthly cost of the phone, which will be outlined on each monthly statement. Existing Go5G members also qualify for this promotion, unlike many others.
One noteworthy caveat — buyers are still responsible for the $35 activation fee for adding the new phone to the new line. You’ll get bill credits for 24 months equal to your phone’s cost, but the initial fee will be paid up front. T-Mobile also notes there’s a four-phone limit with this new line on a qualifying plan promo.
Note that newer phones will net you more trade-in credits, but an iPhone 6 will net you at least $400 off. The iPhone 17 Pro is also free with a trade-in of an eligible device on an Experience Beyond plan. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is just over $4 per month right now, with the same qualifications.
