BOONE COUNTY, KY (WXIX) -The search for 9-year-old Jenny Din is back underway, and volunteers are being asked to assist.

Volunteers are asked to meet at Oakbrook Swim Club, 6940 Oakbrook Dr. in Florence, for instructions.

The search is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. and last until approximately 5:00 p.m.

Din, 9, of Macintosh Lane in Florence, was last seen walking on Macintosh Lane toward Afton Drive around 5:30 p.m. Friday She was wearing a mint-colored blueish jacket, pink headphones and no shoes. Jenny is non-verbal.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office said searchers have covered two square miles on the ground, approximately seven to eight miles by air through drones and a Kentucky State Police helicopter, and seven additional miles using law enforcement K-9s.

Search teams from Campbell County and Hamilton County are also assisting Boone County crews.

The search was paused around 5:00 a.m. in a joint decision with Boone County Emergency Management.

Crews remained in the area, and patrols continued through the overnight hours.

Anyone who sees Din is asked to call 911 immediately.
