BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) – An active search is underway in Boone County for a missing 9-year-old girl last seen in the Florence area.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office said Jenny Din, 9, of Macintosh Lane in Florence, was last seen walking on Macintosh toward Afton Drive around 5:30 p.m.

She was wearing a bluish jacket described as “mint,” pink headphones, and no shoes, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities said she is nonverbal.
