According to NerdWallet’s 2026 buyer survey, nearly half of all buyers will use AI tools during the buying process.

Moving into a new home is a lot of work, but for John Harrison, music made it more enjoyable.

The 21-year-old computer programmer bought a Temple Terrace house and moved in about a month ago. While his piano is hooked up, there’s still some work to be done, like setting up his blinds.

“The house itself is old, and it’s a little bit of a fixer upper, but it fits what we were looking for,” said Harrison.

Harrison said he wanted to buy a home without a real estate agent to save money. While he was looking, he came across Homa, a new home-buying platform that allows buyers to purchase a home without a traditional agent.

“It was exactly what I was looking for,” Harrison said.

The CEO and co-founder of Homa, Arman Javaherian, said the site automates 95% of the process. Artificial intelligence is used to help buyers understand the process and come up with an offer price.

“By doing it this way, we really cut down a lot of the extra work in the process, and we’re able to basically credit back the majority of the commission,” said Javaherian.
