Richland Deputies: Suspect shot, killed man during sale of iPhone

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Richland County deputies have arrested a suspect they say killed a man during a meet up to sell a phone.
Deputies announced Monday the arrest of 23-year-old Rasheed Hawkins on charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
The shooting happened around 1:10 p.m. Sunday a location on Cutlers Court, which is in an region just off Broad River Road near the Harbison area. According to investigators, Hawkins met at a location there to sell an iPhone. Deputies said officers intended to rob the victim and shot him multiple times.
Officers said around 1 a.m. Monday, deputies located Hawkins and placed him under arrest.
He’s currently at the Richland County Detention Center
