Apple is reportedly gearing up to launch its next-generation flagship smartphones later this year. While much of the buzz has focused on the long-rumoured foldable iPhone, new leaks indicate that the iPhone 18 Pro lineup may deliver meaningful upgrades of its own. These are expected to include refinements in design, improved performance, and enhanced battery life, positioning the Pro models as a significant step forward rather than just an incremental update.
Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro lineup could introduce some of its most noticeable visual changes in years, starting with new finishes. After moving from aluminium to titanium in recent Pro models, Apple has greater flexibility with colour treatments. A Weibo-based tipster claims the company is testing three new shades, brown, purple, and burgundy, potentially giving the Pro range one of its most diverse palettes yet. Interestingly, black may once again be missing from the lineup, though these early leaks remain unconfirmed.
Another design tweak may involve a smaller Dynamic Island. Since its debut on the iPhone 14 Pro in 2022, the pill-shaped cut-out has largely remained unchanged. This year, however, Apple is reportedly planning to shrink it slightly by moving certain Face ID components beneath the display. While earlier rumours hinted at a possible shift to a hole-punch design, current reports suggest the Dynamic Island will stay, just in a more compact form.
