As Apple gears up for its fall iPhone launch, early reports suggest the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max may focus heavily on design refinements rather than just performance upgrades. The Pro models are tipped to feature three key changes: a cleaner, more refined rear panel, a smaller Dynamic Island, and new colour options. Instead of a major overhaul, Apple appears to be subtly improving the existing design language, enhancing aesthetics and in-hand feel while building on what already works.

The iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to introduce a redesigned rear panel that offers a more seamless and unified finish. While the iPhone 17 Pro’s bold colours, especially Cosmic Orange, were well received, the contrasting two-tone design between the glass and aluminium frame divided opinion. On the front, Apple is reportedly refining rather than replacing the Dynamic Island. Although earlier rumours suggested a shift to a hole-punch cutout, recent leaks indicate the company will instead shrink the Dynamic Island by around 35 per cent on both the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. This reduction is said to be possible because some Face ID components are moving under the display, though not all of them, explaining why a full hole-punch design is not expected yet. Screen sizes are likely to remain unchanged.

Colour options could once again be a major highlight. Following strong demand for brighter Pro shades like Cosmic Orange, Apple is reportedly testing new finishes including Coffee Brown, Purple, and Burgundy….
