A CHEAP new iPhone model is expected to launch in a matter of days – with some big upgrades.

The gadget is reportedly called the iPhone 17e, and looks set to significantly undercut last year’s iPhone 17.

Back in 2025, Apple revealed a surprise new mobile: the iPhone 16e.

It was a cheaper alternative to 2024’s iPhone 16 line-up, with a few missing features and a lower price point.

Then in September, Apple released a new iPhone 17 range: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, as well as the iPhone Air.

And now in late February (reportedly between February 19 and the end of the month), it’s expected that Apple will add the cheaper iPhone 17e to this line-up.

The latest claims come via Bloomberg journalist and well-known Apple leaker Mark Gurman, who said that the device will have four big improvements.

That includes MagSafe connectivity, which lets you magnetically stick accessories and wireless chargers to the back of the iPhone.

It was notably missing from the iPhone 16e, despite being an immensely popular feature.
