PADUCAH — U.S. Rep. Andy Barr continues to hit the campaign trail, criss-crossing Kentucky with hopes of winning the Republican primary in May. He will face the Democratic nominee in the general election to replace U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell, who is not seeking reelection.
Late last week, Barr visited the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Shawnee Power Plant in west Paducah, was a guest on the podcast Leadership Magnified under the umbrella of PMG Studios, and attended the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner & Celebration.
In his interview on the leadership podcast, Barr said he and his team have created an atmosphere in his office of delivering for his continuants.
“We have built a team of professional, competent, courteous, responsive people. We’ve earned a reputation with Democrats, Republicans, independents alike that if you go to our congressional office, you’re going to get first rate constituent service. We are accessible, we are responsive, we’re professional, and we want to help everybody. We don’t ask, ‘Who did you vote for?’ Our job is to be a zealous advocate for the people of Kentucky and we’ve earned that reputation,” Barr said.
The conversation then pivoted to his platform in his bid for the U.S. Senate.
Members of the Paducah Chamber DC Fly-In heard from Kentucky Rep. Andy Barr during a visit to Washington in the fall of 2025.
